CHIME shortlisted for Best Educational Programme with the NHS: HSJ Awards 2023
CHIME International is a finalist in the HSJ’s Partnership Awards 2023 for its Digital Health Leadership Academy for Nurses and Midwives delivered with NHS England.
LONDON, 5 December 2022. CHIME International is recognised for its work to design and deliver a unique educational programme for nurses and midwives working in a digital health leadership role. Since 2019 CHIME has delivered three residential academies training more than 80 NHS leaders and opened up speaking and presenting opportunities to
CHIME’s work with digital nurses and midwives is a partnership with the Florence Nightingale Foundation, Health Education England and NHS England. The Foundation grants scholarships to about 90 nurse and midwife leaders each year to allow them to develop their professional skills. Introduced in 2020, the Nightingale Digital Scholarship is awarded to nurses and midwives working in a digital role such as a Chief Nursing Information Officer. CHIME delivers the four-day residential Academy as a mandatory part of the scholarship programme and offers all digital scholars a place at its annual Fall Forum conference in the US. In November 2022, 15 scholars made the trip to San Antonio Texas to meet and engage with more than 1,000 digital health leaders.
CHIME’s leadership academy offers the only digital health training developed exclusively for nurse and midwife digital leaders. We believe that not only are these posts fundamental to the success of any digital health programme or implementation; but that nurses and midwives occupy a unique role in which to bring about lasting change using digital health to improve patient care and secure health services for future generations.
In 2023, CHIME will train more than 100 digital health leaders in two academies: one exclusively for Florence Nightingale Scholars, and one open to all nurse and midwife digital health specialists. The faculty for these events will be drawn from digital health leaders working in UK and Irish hospitals and organisations, and directed by CHIME International staff.
